1. Japanese Baseball Delegation Visits the U.S.

   

   The U.S. State Department, partnering with the Little League World Series and Ripken Baseball, brought Japanese baseball players and coaches from Japan’s disaster-affected prefectures to the United States from August 8-23, 2011.

2. Sports Envoys Go to Greece

   

   Partnering with the NBA and WNBA and working closely with U.S. Embassy Athens, the U.S. State Department sent basketball envoys to Athens and Thessaloníki in Greece.
