Margaret Chai Maloney was appointed to the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board in 2020.

Margaret Chai Maloney is the Executive Director of the Palo Alto Education Group which develops online programs to raise financial and tech literacy amongst high school students. She is also co-founder of Girls Who Invest Challenge and Global Teen Investment Competition that includes participants in over 50 countries and cultivated global perspectives through a deep understanding of current market events and the American financial system.

Margaret also serves on the Board of Cinequest and HHA and regularly hosts geopolitical, cultural, and issue driven salons in Silicon Valley to create greater understanding and potential collaboration.

As a Seven Sisters graduate with three daughters, Margaret is passionate about promoting female education and leadership and has developed a number of programs over the years that enable girls to learn more about the most promising careers for women.

Margaret attended Mount Holyoke College and Oxford University. Following Oxford, she had the privilege of teaching English at Don Bosco Preparatory School before moving to New York City to work in strategic communications. As a PR executive, Margaret spent over 20 years representing global companies and brands as well as non-profits and start-ups.

Margaret is married to tech executive Sean Maloney and lives in California with their children and extended family. In her spare time, she loves reading history, running and hiking.
