2. Culinary Diplomacy

   

   Culinary experts from 25 different countries visited the United States as participants in the International Visitor Leadership Program.

3. Solvita Jirgensone Story

   

   Five years after her first International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) experience, Solvita Jirgensone will return to the United States as an IVLP alumna.

4. Hisham Al Thahabi

   

   Four years after his first International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) experience, Husham Al-Thahabi will return to the United States as an IVLP alumnus.

5. Capacity Building

   The Evaluation Division serves as a resource to ECA program teams to learn from and apply M&E data to enhance our programming and better serve our stakeholders. The Division builds internal capacity for ECA program officers through formal and informal training sessions, as well as tools and templates created to guide program teams in various M&E-related tasks.

6. Global Leadership

   565 leaders around the world have participated in Department of State exchange programs.

7. Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB)

   The J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board was established by Congress for the purpose of supervising the Fulbright Program and certain programs authorized by the Fulbright-Hays Act and for the purpose of selecting students, scholars, teachers, trainees, and other persons to participate in the educational exchange programs.

8. Dr. Meredith Lillich, 1953 Fulbright Student to Belgium, 1983 Fulbright Scholar to France

   

   After graduating from Oberlin College with a degree in art history, Meredith Lillich was eager to travel to Europe to see in person the artwork that she had been studying. She applied for and won a Fulbright U.S. Student Program award to Belgium.

9. Critical Language Scholarship Promo 2018

   

   The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is an intensive overseas language and cultural immersion program for American students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities.

10. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Salvador, Brazil

    

    Newly appointed Global Cultural Ambassador Kareem Abdul-Jabbar spends time in Brazil to speak with youth about the importance and power of education.
