Design > Pilot > Share
As ECA’s in-house innovation & program design team, the Collaboratory works on programs in every region of the world. The infographic above represents the recent round of completed pilot projects, implemented in partnership with U.S. embassies and local non-profit organizations.
We welcome unique ideas and embrace innovative ways to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Our projects engage diverse audiences on a wide range of topics, including countering violent extremism, empowerment of women and girls, migration and refugee issues, STEM education, anti-corruption, media literacy, social entrepreneurship, and youth leadership.
The Collaboratory also provides our State Department colleagues training in human-centered design, storytelling methodologies, virtual exchange programming, and podcasting for public diplomacy. Moreover, as we continue to develop new approaches, we share best practices through the development of toolkits and rely on proven evaluation strategies to better assess our global impact.
