IVLP Recognizes Peace Corps 50th Anniversary
I am a volunteer (Spanish).
I am a volunteer (Arabic).
I am a volunteer (Thai).
I am a volunteer (French).
Well it’s 50 years of PeaceCorps: the “Spirit of Volunteerism.” We’re gonna join the volunteers, do a walk of flags.
I am a volunteer (Portugese). I am a volunteer (Cambodian).
And this is a great opportunity to learn from other people, how they do—how they organize their volunteer activities, how they promote volunteerism in their countries.
And so I’m excited, I wanna meet the people who’ve actually gone to my country.
I am a volunteer (Mandarin). I am a volunteer (French).
One of the main things that I think volunteering is important—it brings people together.
I am a volunteer (Mongolian).
I personally volunteer to extend the potential of my country.
To reach out to communities, to discover new areas, places, and cultures as well.
I am a volunteer (Bulgarian). I am a volunteer (Armenian).
For me, it’s good because I like to help other people. I like to be like, hopeful and useful for the people, for society. I’m Harris Wofford and I am a volunteer. As different communities we need to stick together. To help people identify their needs and find local solutions to address these needs.
To encourage them, to help them, to teach them so that they can achieve what they are looking for. To change their life.
