John Kerry: If women are able to thrive societies thrive. And nowhere is
that more true than in the Middle East and in North Africa.

The 10,000 Women, Goldman Sachs Department of State exchange program is about empowering women. It's about giving them the power showing that the can do something, that can build something either in their country, or even together.

We did a lot of activities in this program, we were first in New York for a few days,in Goldman Sachs offices. We met with top management people9
at Goldman Sachs. Then we were at Department of State. It was an amazing experience, we met entrepreneurs of D.C. We went to the Harvard Kennedy School for a few days, and we learned and a lot of things on how to improve our company, how to improve ourself, and how to perform best as entrepreneurs in our countries.

On a business level it's also really an amazing opportunity because you get acquaintance, you get to know other people. you raise other new business opportunity.

Omnia: My name is Omnia Eteyari, I come from Libya. I see this program as a great
networking opportunity. We all know that network is the most
valuable thing, it is the first time that I meet with the, business women, from almost every country in the Arab world.

When I go home, I'll make sure to sit down with my partners and restructure the company. Now we can evaluate what we were doing evaluate the growth we are aiming
for, and make sure to have the right plans in place.

Basma: My name is Basma Alfahim. I'm from the United Arab Emirates. I am a serial entrepreneur, I own 3 different businesses.

The exchange program benefited me in ways that I could of never thought of.

When you empower women, you grow possibility, endless possibilities.  You grow the economy,
you grow the future leaders.
