3. IVLP Supporting Students Who Challenge Extremism

   Every semester, “P2P: Challenging Extremism” competition finalists from around the world are invited on the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) to meet with American business and community leaders. This semester’s finalists, who arrived from Belgium, Italy, and Lebanon, traveled to New York City and San Francisco after presenting in Washington, D.C.

4. Nigerian IVLP Alumna Reconnects with American Counterparts

   Eleven years after her International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) experience, Chigozie “Gozie” Udemezue, a Nigerian social justice lawyer, will return to the United States to reconnect with her American counterparts and showcase her contributions to Nigeria.

5. ECA Reveals State by State Impact of Exchange Programs

   The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has been released information on the state by state economic impact of its programs. The report details how many citizen diplomats and citizens of foreign countries from their state participated in ECA programs during the fiscal year 2011-2012.

6. OneBeat Brings Socially Engaged Artists to the U.S.

   OneBeat, a cultural exchange program developed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with Bang on a Can’s Found Sound Nation launches its 2018 east coast fall tour with stops in Florida, Maryland, New York, and South Carolina.

8. Center Stage Artists Embark on D.C. Tour

   Center Stage, a cultural exchange program developed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the New England Foundation for the Arts, will bring musicians from Egypt and Ukraine to America for a nation-wide tour through December 2018.
