   Inspired by President Obama's call for renewed commitment to public service, the U.S. Department of State created a new international exchange program "Volunteerism: United We Serve."

5. Women Leaders in STEM Explore the U.S. through the IVLP

   In 2022, the U.S. Department of State hosted 41 international women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

   Each year, State Department-sponsored exchange programs connect approximately 350,000 people in almost every country and all U.S. states.

10. U.S. Embassy Launches New Initiative to Support Malaysian Women Entrepreneurs

    Today, Ambassador Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir and Secretary-General for the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development Dato’ Dr. Junaidah binti Kamarruddin officiated the Malaysia launch of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE).
