1. The IVLP and “The Problem We All Live With”

   This summer, the U.S. Department of State’s Office of International Visitors (OIV) initiated a virtual International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project which explored racial and social disparities, probing America’s complicated history, current social justice movements, and the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on communities of color.

2. Sports Grant Provides Disability Skills Training to Coaches in Mexico

   

   The National Ability Center, in collaboration with the Departamento de Educación Especial for the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico, and UCP Wheels for Humanity in the United States conducted a multi-phased sports exchange for youth with disabilities with the goal of establishing sustainable sports programs that target youth with physical and developmental disabilities in Mexico.

3. A New Type of Film Workshop - In The Cloud

   When the AFS program in Egypt was postponed due to security reasons, ECA was inspired to adopt a new method used by Tiffany Shlain, an AFS participant and leader in filmmaking and technology.

4. 2023 TechGirls Closes with a Women’s High-Tech Coalition on Capitol Hill

   The program recognizes the power of STEM as a vehicle to create economic, educational, and societal opportunity and equity globally.

5. 2014 Alumni Impact Award Winners Selected for the Fall 2014 Professional Fellows Congress

   The Professional Fellows Program is pleased to announce the four 2014 Alumni Impact Award (AIA) recipients, whose program participation generates long-term impact on their communities.

6. United We Serve: IVLP Volunteerism Project

   

   Inspired by President Obama's call for renewed commitment to public service, the U.S. Department of State created a new international exchange program "Volunteerism: United We Serve."

7. Women Leaders in STEM Explore the U.S. through the IVLP

   In 2022, the U.S. Department of State hosted 41 international women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
