Nancy Wilkie was reappointed by President Barack Obama in January 2017 to the Cultural Property Advisory Committee.

Dr. Nancy Wilkie is the William H. Laird Professor of Classics, Anthropology, and the Liberal Arts, Emerita at Carleton College, a position she has held since 2013. Dr. Wilkie was Director of the Intercollegiate Sri Lanka Education Program in 1997 and 2008 and has held various positions at Carleton College since 1974, including Professor.

She is President of the U.S. Committee of the Blue Shield, a member of the Advisory Board of Heritage Watch, and an emerita member of the Managing Committee of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens.

Dr. Wilkie is a life member of the Archaeological Institute of America, where she has held various positions, including President, Vice President, Academic Trustee, Chair of the Site Preservation Committee and the Tour Advisory Board.

She was first appointed to the Cultural Property Advisory Committee in 2003. Dr. Wilkie received an A.B. from Stanford University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
