1. Empowering Women and Girls Through Sports in Morocco

   

   Working with the U.S. Embassy in Rabat, the U.S. State Department dispatched two former U.S. Women’s National Team players and one former coach to Morocco for a sports envoy program.

   During a 3-week program entitled “Wounded Warriors Assistance,” a group of two doctors, a psychologist, a journalist, and a disabled veteran, focused their studies on veteran care.

5. British American Parliamentary Group Exchange Brings Lawmakers Together From Across the Pond

   This annual International Visitor Leadership Program exchange welcomes British Members of Parliament to the United States to explore U.S. politics and the legislative process at both federal and state levels.

6. U.S. and International Officials Cooperate to Create a More Safe and Secure World

   On April 17, the U.S. Department of State will host more than 100 international law enforcement, security, judicial, and NGO officials for the third annual Towards a More Safe and Secure World initiative. Participants of this annual International Visitor Leadership Program initiative spend three weeks cooperating with their U.S. counterparts to find solutions to shared global security responsibilities.

   Earlier this month, the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth welcomed IVLP alumna Riham Awad to Dallas, Texas.

8. Diplomacy Begins Here Regional Summits Kick-Off in Salt Lake City

   On July 12th, the 2019 Diplomacy Begins Here Regional Summits will kick-off in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State in partnership with Global Ties U.S., each summit will bring together leaders from business, government, and nonprofit sectors to engage with local communities on U.S. foreign policy.

9. Center Stage Artists Embark on D.C. Tour

   Center Stage, a cultural exchange program developed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the New England Foundation for the Arts, will bring musicians from Egypt and Ukraine to America for a nation-wide tour through December 2018.

10. Secretary Blinken Meeting with YLAI ExchangeAlumni in Chile

    On October 5, in Santiago, Chile, Secretary Antony J. Blinken met with four ExchangeAlumni of the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program.
