   The Fulbright Alumni Ambassador Program was established in 2008 to identify, train and engage a select group of approximately 15 Fulbright U.S. Student Program alumni to serve as representatives, recruiters, and spokespeople for the Fulbright Program.

8. Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation

   King Felipe VI will honor the Fulbright program with the 2014 Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation in recognition of the program’s positive impact on U.S.-Spain bilateral relations since the program first began operation with Spain in 1958.
