1. Sports Visitors and the Women's NCAA Final Four

   

   Partnering with the NCAA, USA Basketball, and WNBA, the U.S. Department of State led a fast-paced and exciting basketball program surrounding the events of the Women’s NCAA Final Four.

2. Professional Fellows Explore Religious Freedom in a Modern Context

   The launch of a new Professional Fellows On-Demand Program titled, “Religious Freedom and Interfaith Dialogue Exchange,” focuses on connecting spiritual and community leaders and building interfaith cooperation in multiple settings.

3. NSLI-Y, Language Learning with U.S. State Department

   

   The NSLI-Y Program is a program that helps American students study abroad to learn foreign languages that are deemed critical by the U.S. government.

4. American University Students Conduct First Student Led Virtual Exchange, and Connect with Students Around the World

   Twenty undergraduate students at American University’s School of International Service designed and piloted their own virtual exchanges with students from Brazil, the Czech Republic, India, Japan, Kenya and Morocco.

5. State Department Announces 2022-2023 Fulbright Top Producing Institutions

   More than 170 higher education institutions from across the United States are being recognized for having the highest number of accepted applicants to the Fulbright U.S. Student and Fulbright U.S. Scholar Programs.

7. Empowering Women and Girls: WNBA Basketball Envoys in Ukraine

   

   The State Department and NBA worked together to send former WNBA players Tamika Raymond and Nykesha Sales to Ukraine as Sports Envoys from January 28 to February 2, 2013.

   The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is a global women’s empowerment program that has made a powerful impact - but until recently AWE’s story had gone untold.

9. FLEX Celebrates 21st Year

   The Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) celebrated the end of its 21st year with approximately 168 students of this year’s 800 scholarship recipients.
