   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet May 2-4, 2018, to review Ecuador’s request for U.S. import restrictions on archaeological and ethnological material

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet July 22-23, 2020, to consider proposals to extend the U.S.-Colombia cultural property agreement and the U.S.-Italy cultural property agreement.

3. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting October 5, 6, and 8, 2021

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet October 5,6, and 8, 2021, to review the proposed extensions of the cultural property agreement with the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the cultural property agreement with the Government of Peru.

4. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting January 30 – February 2, 2023

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee intends to meet January 30 - February 2, 2023 (pending Federal Register announcement confirmation), to review (1) extending and amending the cultural property agreement with the Government of Cambodia, (2) to review a new request from the government of North Macedonia, and (3) to review a new request from the government of Uzbekistan for cultural property import restrictions.

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet October 27-29, 2020, to review the request by the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria seeking import restrictions on archaeological and ethnological material.

6. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting - March 17 and 19, 2021

   Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet March 17 and 19, 2021, to review the request by the Government of the Republic of Albania seeking import restrictions on archaeological and ethnological material.

7. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting July 31-August 2

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet to review Algeria’s request for U.S. import restrictions on archaeological and ethnological material.

8. U.S. and Greece Work Together to Protect Cultural Heritage

   September 22, 2021. Athens, Greece: The United States and Greece signed a bilateral cultural property agreement extending existing import restrictions for Greek cultural property and expanding the terms of the agreement to include additional categories of ecclesiastical ethnological material.

10. United States and Libya Sign Agreement to Protect Libya’s Cultural Heritage

    On February 23, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs I. Steven Goldstein and Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Under Secretary for Political Affairs Lutfi Almughrabi signed a landmark bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on cultural property protection at a ceremony at the U.S. Department of State’s Treaty Room.
