2. The African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP)

   

   Through the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), approximately 30 African women entrepreneurs arrive in the United States each year to attend professional development meetings and network with U.S. policy makers, companies, industry associations, nonprofit groups, and multilateral development organizations.

   After returning home from her exchange program on human rights in the United States, Sharon worked with 21 other Rwandan exchange alumni students and educators to launch high school human rights clubs throughout Rwanda.

6. 2011-12 Fulbright NEXUS Regional Scholar Program

   

   The Fulbright Regional Network for Applied Research (NEXUS) Program is a network of junior scholars, professionals and mid-career applied researchers from the United States and other Western Hemisphere nations engaged in a year-long program that includes multi-disciplinary, team-based research, seminar meetings, and a Fulbright exchange experience, in one of three areas: Science, Technology and Innovation; Entrepreneurship; and Sustainable Energy.

7. The International Visitor Leadership Program 75th Anniversary

   

   For the past 75 years the International Visitor Leadership Program has connected emerging leaders from around the world to the United States. Today the International Visitor Leadership Program has brought more than 200,000 people from over 190 countries to address the today’s critical issues.

8. Office of Global Educational Programs

   The Office of Global Educational Programs plans, develops, administers and monitors the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, the Community College Initiative Program, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program and several exchange and professional development programs for secondary school teachers and educators, with the help of private, non-profit organizations.

9. The Courage to Tell the Story: Murrow Program at 10 Years

   

   Each year, more than 75 journalists from around the world are brought to the United States to explore this ideal and U.S. efforts to maintain and encourage such freedom of expression through the Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists.

10. 280 Business and Social Entrepreneurs from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada Begin 2022 YLAI Fellowship Program

    Over the next six months, the YLAI Fellows will collaborate with companies and social enterprises in 20 U.S. cities to deepen relationships and increase business ties between the United States and the Americas.
