8. “Impact of Exchange: Stories from U.S. Exchange Alumni” Photo Exhibition Opening in Portland, Maine

   Starting today in Portland, Maine, there’s a new way to discover everyday life, cross-cultural experiences, and scenery in countries around the world. From August 31 through September 30, the “Impact of Exchange: Stories from U.S. Exchange Alumni” Photo Exhibition is open to transport viewers to locations all over the world, from places like China, Colombia, Moldova, Morocco, and South Korea.

9. Jazz Appreciation Month

   To celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month this April, the U.S. Department of State is hosting a panel discussion, jazz performance and cultural diplomacy exhibit at the U.S. Diplomacy Center.

10. The IVLP through the Lens of a Trafficking in Persons Report Hero

    Each year, the U.S. Department of State honors individuals around the world who have devoted their lives to the fight against human trafficking and made exceptional contributions in their home countries to combat the crime and assist trafficking victims.
