2. U.S. Department of State to Host Series of Career Readiness Workshops for Gilman Alumni

   The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ USA Study Abroad branch will host a series of career readiness workshops for approximately 150 alumni of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program over the next two weeks.

3. NSLI-Y Alumni Learn About Digital Networking and Career Development

   WASHINGTON, DC — Hundreds of young African leaders convened for the virtual 2021 Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit.

6. U.S. Visit Spurs New International Women’s Initiative

   The Education and Activism for Young Women project brought 19 men and women from around the world to explore the benefits and challenges of developing women’s leadership skills in American civil society.

7. IVLP Supporting Students Who Challenge Extremism

   Every semester, “P2P: Challenging Extremism” competition finalists from around the world are invited on the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) to meet with American business and community leaders. This semester’s finalists, who arrived from Belgium, Italy, and Lebanon, traveled to New York City and San Francisco after presenting in Washington, D.C.

8. Smithsonian/CHCC Cultural Property Anti-Trafficking Workshop

   The U.S. Department of State’s Cultural Antiquities Task Force (CATF) held a virtual training workshop for law enforcement officials from the United States to enhance their knowledge of cultural property of Indigenous and Native Peoples of North America and build their capacity to protect Indigenous heritage by disrupting its trafficking.

9. The U.S.-Taiwan Education Initiative Holds Third High-Level Dialogue, Promoting Cooperation on International Education

   Facilitated by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO), the United States and Taiwan held a series of events this week to launch the U.S.-Taiwan Education Initiative.

10. African Women Entrepreneurs Engaged by an Enriched Experience

    A group of African women entrepreneurs were enriched by a wealth of professional development meetings and networking opportunities during their visit to the United States.
