1. Virtual Workshop Trains Law Enforcement to Disrupt Trafficking in Cultural Property from Latin America

   On July 15, 2022, the U.S. Department of State’s Cultural Antiquities Task Force (CATF) held a virtual training workshop for law enforcement officials from the United States to enhance their knowledge of cultural property from Latin America and to build capacity to disrupt its trafficking.

2. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting October 5, 6, and 8, 2021

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet October 5,6, and 8, 2021, to review the proposed extensions of the cultural property agreement with the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the cultural property agreement with the Government of Peru.

3. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting July 26-27, 2022

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee intends to meet July 26-27, 2022 (pending Federal Register announcement confirmation), to review the proposed extension of the cultural property agreement with the Government of Belize and the proposed extension of the cultural property agreement with the Government of the State of Libya. The Committee invites public comment on these proposals.

4. Cultural Property Advisory Committee to Meet in Chicago September 19–20, 2023

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee intends to meet September 19-20 in Chicago review a proposed extension of the U.S. cultural property agreement with the Government of the Republic of Honduras.

5. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting October 29 – 30

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet October 29 – 30, 2019, to review new requests for cultural property agreements from Morocco and Yemen.

6. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting Jan 21 – 22, 2020

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet January 21-22, 2020, to review new requests for cultural property agreements from Tunisia and Turkey.

7. Virtual Workshop Trains Law Enforcement to Disrupt Trafficking of Central Asian Cultural Property

   The trafficking in stolen, looted, or forged art, antiquities, and other cultural objects benefits criminal organizations and terrorist groups, erodes the legal art market, and harms our relationships with foreign partners and allies.

8. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting April 1-3

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet April 1-3, 2019, to review a new request for a cultural property agreement from Jordan.

9. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting October 23-24

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet October 23-24 to consider the proposal to extend the U.S.-Cambodia cultural property agreement (or “Memorandum of Understanding”).

10. Trafficking in Cultural Property from Southeast Asia Topic of Latest Virtual Law Enforcement Workshop
