Description (no more than 300 words)

The is the opening event for International Education Week hosted by the UTC Center for Global Education.
Japanese dancers will display their talents while students enjoy cake and grab a passport for our first event - Travel the World in a Week. There will also be a "Before I die" board for students to write on. The "Before I Die" project by Candy Chang examines the ways the walls of our cities can help us grapple with death and meaning as a community today. The Center for Global Education is creating a UTC tailored version of this project in the form of a board that will move around campus. We invite students to place their thoughts on this board and come together as a university to examine what we most care about in our world today.
