Description (no more than 300 words)

Studying abroad immerses you in a new place and culture, but can also assist in growing your leadership skills, finding job opportunities, and developing life-long relationships. Finding your way abroad can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be!

HI Chicago's program, Study Abroad 101, helps students prepare for this opportunity of a lifetime. During a presentation and conversation, we will share how to plan your dream study abroad, how to navigate funding sources, and hear from people who have studied abroad themselves.

This program is great for all students, whether you are already planning your trip or you've never considered study abroad and are just curious! The event includes a shared meal and cultural immersion activities in the hostel. If you've never heard of a hostel before, this is a great opportunity to experience a friendly, cost effective way to travel.

There are two types of tickets for this program. The first ticket type is for the evening program only. This ticket is free and includes the presentation and dinner. The second ticket type is the overnight ticket and includes the presentation, dinner, bed, and breakfast all for $15. Both tickets must be bought in advance.
