2. American Music Abroad - Wordsmith on Tour and in Studio

   

   Baltimore-based rapper Wordsmith toured Africa in 2016 with the American Music Abroad program, part of American Voices, funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State.

3. National Ability Center: PyeongChang Winter Paralympics – South Korea

   

   National Ability Center sent an American training team and 12 American youth with disabilities, in the sports of alpine skiing and snowboarding, to South Korea to teach Korean youth and coaches best practices. The Korean and American groups had the opportunity to attend the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Paralympics Opening Ceremonies!

4. Virtual Fitness Session with Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Alumna, Tracy Sena Yeboah!

5. International Women of Courage 2021 Opening Ceremony

   

   2021 Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage (IWOC) Award. This award honors women who have demonstrated exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in acting to improve the lives of others, from families to communities to countries. Next, the IWOC honorees will participate in International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Virtual exchanges to connect with American communities, universities, businesses, non-profit organizations, and others. Now in its fifteenth year and conferred by five Secretaries of State since the inception of IWOC, the U.S. Department of State has honored more than 155 International Women of Courage from over 75 countries.

   TechGirls is an international exchange program designed to empower young girls to pursue careers in the science and technology sectors.

7. Connecting Museums, Connecting People

   

   Museums Connect participants discuss the value of people-to-people diplomacy throughout their experience in the Museums Connect program.

8. Paying it Forward: Fortune/U.S. State Department Global Women's Mentoring Partnership

   

   The Fortune/U.S. State Department Global Women's Mentoring Partnership connects talented, emerging women leaders from all over the world, with members of Fortune's Most Powerful Women Leaders for a month-long program.

9. The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders

   

   The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, begun in 2014, is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) that empowers young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking.
