3. United States and Mali Extend Cultural Property Agreement, Include Protection for Manuscripts

   The United States and Mali extended their Agreement to continue import restrictions on archaeological material from Mali.

4. Cultural Antiquities Task Force and Colombian Officials Partner for a Seminar on Cultural Heritage Protection

   From October 10-12, 2018, members of the Cultural Antiquities Task Force (CATF), the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, and the Colombian Ministry of Culture held a seminar on cultural heritage protection and preservation in Bogota, Colombia.

5. Cultural Property Advisory Committee

   The Cultural Property Protection initiative works with foreign governments to protect historical artifacts. With its partners, the U.S. imposes import restrictions and develops sustainable safeguards for protecting the world’s cultural heritage.

6. Cultural Heritage Center

   The Cultural Heritage Center works with governmental and non-governmental organizations to protect and preserve the world's cultural heritage. It administers the Cultural Property Protection program, the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, the Iraq Cultural Heritage Initiative, and other special cultural heritage programs.

7. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting October 23-24

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet October 23-24 to consider the proposal to extend the U.S.-Cambodia cultural property agreement (or “Memorandum of Understanding”).

8. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting July 26-27, 2022

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee intends to meet July 26-27, 2022 (pending Federal Register announcement confirmation), to review the proposed extension of the cultural property agreement with the Government of Belize and the proposed extension of the cultural property agreement with the Government of the State of Libya. The Committee invites public comment on these proposals.

9. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting October 29 – 30

   The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet October 29 – 30, 2019, to review new requests for cultural property agreements from Morocco and Yemen.

10. Cultural Property Advisory Committee Meeting Jan 21 – 22, 2020

    The Cultural Property Advisory Committee will meet January 21-22, 2020, to review new requests for cultural property agreements from Tunisia and Turkey.
