Program Description: Take Off with IES Abroad is an outreach initiative designed to help inspire more students at HBCUs in study and intern abroad experiences, and thereby benefit from the value of these high-impact opportunities.

This event includes these activities:
• IES Abroad IDEA staff representative (me);
• Study abroad alumni panel from your campus (where applicable)
• Quick informational session about passports & visas, and financial aid, customized to address unique needs and interests of your students;
• Global travel-themed selfie stations for students to take pictures for social media
• Travel-themed snacks & take-away “souvenirs”
• “What to Know Before You Go” best Tips on overseas flight travel – advice on finding the best airfare rates, packing, readying for your first flight abroad, mastering airport security, activities for long flights, and preparing your parents/family for your departure
• Travel tips for non-binary and transgender students
