Description (no more than 300 words)

The idea that networking meet-ups are as beneficial for high school students as adults inspired Magdalena to do more in her community. She works with other high school students to organize "Open Coffee - High School Edition" meetings, which have had such a positive impact locally that transitioning to a global model that includes college students across 10+ countries. Magdalena will share her personal and her organization's journey, the transitions involved in developing and growing her organization. Magdalena will talk about the 3 superpowers: the power of networking, the power of asking & the power of introduction, explaining the lessons she has learned from using them. Additionally, this session will have an interactive component, giving participants a taste of how her networking events are run and inspire them to get involved! A local College of the Canyons chapter is currently in the works, and we want to encourage students to participate!
