Career Connections: Professional Development Seminars for U.S. Exchange Alumni

February 13, 2019

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in partnership with Partners of the Americas, launched Career Connections, a new series of regional professional development seminars for U.S. citizen exchange alumni. The program offers new opportunities to help alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs from across the United States expand their network and leverage the unique tools they developed when studying abroad.

During the seminars, alumni will hear from expert speakers and trainers, participate in hands-on skills development workshops, meet fellow exchange alumni, and leave with effective resources to map and grow their careers. Each event is designed to reach alumni living in a particular region of the United States. Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce, an exchange alumna of American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), will join alumni at the inaugural seminar in Raleigh, North Carolina on February 21 and 22 to share lessons learned from her extensive experience in international affairs, higher education, telecommunications, and hospitality management.

The Career Connections Seminars are a part of the U.S. Exchange Alumni Program. Follow Career Connections on social media at #ExchangeAlumni.
