Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board members approved two changes to the policies governing the Fulbright Program.
The J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board held its 274th Quarterly Board meeting February 9, 2017 to welcome five new members and the reappointment of Board Member Maneesh M. Goyal.
Florida International University (FIU) hosted the 273rd quarterly meeting of the Board, November 16-17 in Miami, Florida, in celebration of International Education Week and the 70th Anniversary of the Fulbright Program.
Chair Jeffrey Bleich spoke in a panel titled, “Fulbright alumni in the public and private sectors” on November 12, 2016 at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. at the Annual Fulbright Association conference.
On December 12, 2016, Board member Sam Brown chaired the panel titled, “Fulbright Scholar Alumni Network – Developing a Call to Action for Fulbright Scholar Alumni to Become More Involved in Global Sustainability and Technology Deployment” as part of Club de Madrid-P80 Group Foundation’s Global Solutions Institute Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Each year the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Institute of International Education, releases the list of higher education institutions sending the most Fulbright U.S. students and scholars abroad. For academic year 2015-16, the list highlights the strong institutional diversity within the Fulbright Program.
