Overview

The Fulbright Program offers grants to qualified German graduate students to study at the graduate level in the United States. German scholars may apply to conduct post-doctoral research, lecturing or a combination of research and lecturing at U.S. institutions, and are eligible for Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Grants. In addition, students and recent graduates are also eligible for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program and scholars are eligible for the Fulbright-Schuman and Fulbright European Union Scholar-in-Residence Program. Doctoral researchers may apply for a grant to do research at a U.S. university or research institution as part of their dissertation project.

Overview

The Fulbright Program offers grants to Germany for U.S. citizens. U.S. students may apply for a grant to pursue full-time study or independent research in Germany, while young professional journalists may apply for a grant that combines research and practice-oriented experience.

U.S. scholars may teach or research in Germany through Fulbright. In addition, U.S. scholars are eligible to apply for the Fulbright Specialist Program and U.S. students are eligible to apply for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program. U.S. citizens are also eligible to apply for the Fulbright International Education Administrators Program.
