History and Overview:

Partially supported by a grant from the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, IIE is part of the EducationUSA network of advising centers and has operated an office in Hong Kong since 1967. IIE/HK works closely with the Hong Kong and American educational communities to foster and maintain international educational exchange. We offer information on US education, including boarding schools, community colleges, undergraduate programs, graduate programs, English study and more. Financial aid and scholarship information for international students is also available. We host monthly group advising sessions, teacher training workshops, online, outreach visits to schools, annual education fairs and predeparture orientations and we cooperate with the local government and US consulate to provide accurate, impartial information about US education.

Library: ECA Reference Bookshelf, DVDs, CD-ROMs, free magazines on secondary and higher education in the US, and computer available for research and internet access.

Individual Consultations: Individual Consulations by appointment or walk-in. Free group advising sessions and seminars open to all
